Space

Space and aeronautics facilities work on some of the world’s most astonishing scientific projects and house extremely complex equipment, which means it is vital that we provide consistently high levels of quality and adaptability to keep their building systems operating smoothly. At EMCOR Government Services (EGS), we have the experience and personnel needed to deliver the ultra-specialized, mission-critical facilities services that keep our space clients’ complex operations running smoothly.

Ready When Emergencies Strike, 24/7

Because of their crucial operations, many space agencies cannot afford long-term building closures or limits to capacity that are caused by system failures. To mitigate emergencies, we offer a single-point of contact and a 24/7 dispatch number, connecting clients to qualified technicians ready to troubleshoot an array of building issues at a moment’s notice.

Armstrong Flight Research Center

Advanced Maintenance Management at the World’s Premier Aviation Research Center

Considered NASA’s premier site for aeronautical research, the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) at Edwards Air Force Base in California has pioneered a number of astounding advancements in aviation technology. In support of this important work, EGS provided a variety of O&M services for the 425,000-square-foot facility, including preventive maintenance, minor facilities repairs, groundskeeping, and janitorial services.

To help guarantee the efficiency and quality of AFRC’s building systems, we developed a Reliability Centered Maintenance Program and then integrated it into NASA’s highly advanced Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Outstanding Base Operations Support Across 2.8 Million Square Feet of Space

EGS provides base operations support (BOS) for the 177-acre campus of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). We help keep the more than 200+ buildings on the JPL campus functioning at peak efficiency and support the 24/7 operation of critical areas like the Space Flight Operations Facility.

Our expansive scope of work includes facilities management, O&M, repairs, improvements, and oversight of all facilities-related equipment systems and structures. We also provide ground maintenance, pest control, janitorial services, and fire suppression, as well as other specialized services such as energy, environmental, and disaster management.

Our technicians at JPL utilize handheld technology that enables them to receive service calls, perform data entry, make adjustments to the EMS, take and upload photos in the field, reference O&M manuals for specific assets, and research and order materials in real-time. This advanced technology helps us better manage the workload across the campus, promoting rapid response times, helping increase efficiency, and allowing us to gather valuable data that improves our operations.
