Doug Rowles

Vice President, Business Development
EMCOR Government Services

Value Delivered

Doug is responsible for telling clients about the many ways EMCOR Government Services (EGS) can help them satisfy their specific needs, while supporting their ongoing profitability and providing long-lasting value. To achieve this, he oversees a staff of proposal managers/writers, estimators, pricing specialists, desktop publishing specialists, and consultants who prepare a wide range of management, technical, and pricing proposals. In addition to making client presentations, he creates an annual business development plan that identifies EMCOR's primary marketing targets and defines its key marketing messages. His success is evidenced by the fact that, over the past year, his division has won more than $250 million in government contracts.

Facilities Services Expertise

Doug built his facilities services expertise over nearly 20 years in industry operating and business development capacities. He began his career with McDonnel Douglas as a launch site support manager at the Kennedy Space Center. In this role, he ensured that the space center's facilities were properly configured to support the unique needs of each NASA mission.

Over the past 15 years, he focused on business development, pioneering a consultative sales approach to facilities management. During this time, he held positions as director, proposal development, for Johnson Controls World Services; vice president, product development, for Netstruxr; and vice president, sales/marketing, for Service Resources, Inc. Before taking his current position at EMCOR Government Services, he was EMCOR Facilities Service's vice president, program development.

Doug holds a bachelor's degree in zoology from the University of Florida, and a master's in physics and space technology from the Florida Institute of Technology.

The Personal Side

Doug has two children in college, one at Boston University, the other at West Point. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.
